Every year at this place in the month of Magh as per Hindus calendar people gather and stay on the sand in tent is called Kalpvasa where you give penance to yourself in this cold and purify yourself. this tradition is being going on from thousand of years back and all the sadhus, saint , snayasi , akhara reside over on the bank of triveni sangam for a month .you can be part of it by visiting praygaraj during this mela .
Magh mela is also known as Mini Kumbh where devotess from far and wide come down to this holy place to take a dip and get rid of their bad karma at Prayaraj magh mela .
